This post is for all my booby budies. You all know I'm a huge proponent for early, exclusive, extended, joyful breastfeeding. But what if youget sick? or what if you need to take medication? What can you take safely? Utah Health Dept offers a unique approach to this question with the Pregnancy Risk Line. All it takes is a phone call 1-800-822-BABY (2229) to find out if what you're taking could affect your baby or your milk supply. 
"So what about the rest of us?", you say? Never fear Lactmed is here!! LactMed search is a database of perscriptive and over the counter medications and their safety during lactation. LactMed is a branch of Toxnet and was created and hosted by the National  Library of Medicine. Thanks guys!! Feeling crazy? Check out some of their other toxic databases. Ovulation-Ever wondered what it looks like?

So I'm no spring chick. I've seen a few things here and there, "caught" a few hundred babies, sewed up several vaginas (yes, I said vagina), and I'm no virgin to the interent. That said, this is (IMO) the coolest thing I have seen in a very long time. I am a midwife afterall, and I've been known to pop a few zits but really... haven't you ever wondered what is REALLY going on in there? Sure, I've read the books and studied the diagrams but seeing it..really seeing it- these pictures are worth a thousand words.
